A Modern Craftsman Renovation Full of Thoughtful Details

Brittnie McAninley of Sandra Britt Interiors brought a thoughtful modern Craftsman aesthetic to this whole-home renovation in the 12 South neighborhood of Nashville, where architectural details take center stage. Historic dentil crown moulding, oversized trimmed encasements, marble-inlay cabinetry, and beautifully curved stonework create moments of interest throughout the home, while modern amenities are tucked seamlessly into the design. The kitchen’s flush-mounted vent hood, for example, disappears into the counter to preserve views through the walls of windows. We photographed the project with an eye toward all those intentional details, including custom stonework created in collaboration with Nashville’s Trove Stone.
